Sock Pattern " Loops"




Here is the pattern for this sock. I designed it myself. I don't know what to call it so.. Let's call it Loops after my Mom's fish.
I used well I can't remember what the name of the yarn is but it's a pima cotton blend.
A set of 4 dpn size 6 for the yarn. But you can use any yarn for this pattern. It adapts well.
6 sts= 1"
wyib= with yarn in back
Co 36 sts join in the round. ( 12-12-12 works the best for this pattern)
K2, P2 rib for 2"
Purl across
Knit across
Purl across
Loops Pattern:
round 1. knit 3, p1,wyib sl 1, p1, knit 3, p1, wyib sl 1, p1,knit 3
round 2. repeat round 1.
round 3 & 4 knit across
repeat this pattern for 4-8"
end pattern on knit 3, p1 , wyib sl 1 ,p1 , knit 3, p1, wyib sl 1, p1, knit 3
Heel Flap:
divide 36 sts evenly on 2 needles
using needle #1
1. sl 1, k 1 across
2. sl 1, purl across
Turn Heel:
1. k 1, ssk, knit across
2. p 1, p2tog purl across
repeat these 2 rows until 4 sts left.
pick up stitches along side of heel flap ( ndl 1).
continue pattern for #2
with needle #3 pick up stitches along the other side
divide stitches evenly on needle #1 and #3
round 1
1. on needle #1 knit to last 3 k2tog, k 1
2 continue pattern
3. on #3 knit 1 ssk, knit to end
round 2
knit across evenly on the1 & 3 needles
#2 needle continue pattern
repeat these 2 rounds until you have the original 12 sts on the 3 needles
continue pattern for needle #2. needles 1 & 3 knit across every row until foot part is to desired lenght.
Toe:
round 1
#1 knit 1 ssk, knit to last 3 k2tog, k1
#2 knit 1, ssk, knit to last 3 k2tog, k1
#3 knit 1, ssk, knit to last 3 k2tog, k1
round 2
knit across the 3 needles
continue the decreases until there are 4 sts on the 3 needles
cut a 6" tail and weave ends.
the pattern looks like long loops in the middle of the 2 columns.
