Yard Work

Yesterday was so nice, I decided to do a little pre-spring yard work. I raked the rest of the leaves that fell on the lawn. I started to till up my flower beds to get them ready for later planting. So my front yard is looking a little better. Now I have to wait for the grass to turn green.

I decide to go into the back yard to get my vegetable garden ready, and to clean up all the mess the dogs made. I opened up the gate and I found part of my roof in the back yard. Yes, I have shingles from my roof in the yard. So I get a ladder and climb up on the roof. Well, half of my roof is missing. I guess from all the snow and all the windy days, the roof blew off.

This really sucks! Now we have to put a new roof on. I know it needed a new roof, but this is not what I want to do the first part of spring. I already know James and I are going to be the ones who put it on. I really don't want to spend 4 grand on a roof. Well that was our estimate from last year. Now I have to make some plans and get a few cases of beer and call a few friends. If we do the roof with some friends that will cut the cost in half.

This is going to be the funny part; when I take pictures and post about what James and his friends are doing. Now that is going to be entertainment. I already know, James is going to fall of the roof at least once.
