What a Mess

I woke up this morning around 3am to go to the bathroom. Then I wanted to get a quick drink of milk. As I was walking to the living room. I saw Bryanna asleep on the couch, which is odd. Then I saw the mess. Sugar every ware! Then I saw chicken nuggets, broccoli, peas and eggs. All of this was all over the coffee table, and in a big bowl. In a half sleep I wake Bryanna up and ask her why she got into all of that stuff. Then I thought, it was Makayla who got all of the stuff. For one the eggs are up on a high shelf in my fridge and the sugar is on the top shelf in my cabinet. And two Bryanna is to short even with a chair to reach either one. So I went and woke up Makayla to ask her why they got in to things that they know that they aren't supposed to get into. This is what she said... " We were making a salad."

A salad? Yes she said a salad. At 3 in the morning my mind couldn't grasp the concept of salad all I saw was a big fucking mess. I sent them both back to bed and I cleaned up as much as I could, then I went back to bed. I woke up later at 8 in the morning. I had totally forgot about the big mess. As I was walking to the kitchen to make my coffee, I couldn't find the sugar. That's when I remembered, the big mess. Then I felt the left over sugar stuck to the bottom of my foot. So no coffee.

A little later Makayla woke up. I asked her why they got into stuff. She told me once again, to make a salad. I made her clean up the rest of the mess. I know she was the ring leader, because Bryanna will sleep forever if I let her. She only wakes up if Makayla wakes her up in the middle of the night.

Makayla cleaned up the mess the best a 6 year old can do. While she was doing that I scraped as much sugar off the doughnuts I had made the day before for my coffee. ( not a good idea, it tasted like crap.) Bryanna finally woke up around 10. I asked her why she got into stuff. She told me... " Makayla is mad at me." I asked her why she said... " Because I didn't want a salad, I wanted cookies." So for most of the day I was cleaning sugar off of my floors. Let me tell ya, sugar is not an easy thing to clean off of laminate floors.

Well James comes home. As soon as he walks in the door he starts yelling at the girls. I guess they had put eggs and sugar in his work boots. James is not a morning person. He has to get up for work at 6:30am. He really isn't awake until around 7:30. By that time he realizes he has crap in his boots. He doesn't have clean socks or another pair of shoes to ware. So he has to walk around in gooey boots all day. That is the funny part of the day. Anyways, he yells at the girls and ground them for the rest of the day.

Did I mention how much I love having little kids? No? I didn't think so.

That sure brings back memories. What about the time you tried to mop the floor by dumping a whole bucket of water on the floor??

Oh yes! I remember that! You had your very own Annie movie in the kitchen. That house must bring out the crazy kid messes.
